LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Domenick A. Cama upon the occasion of
his designation for special recognition by the Federation of Italian-Am-
erican Organizations of Brooklyn, Ltd.

WHEREAS, It is incumbent upon the people of the State of New York to
recognize and acknowledge those within our midst who have made signif-
icant contributions to the quality of life therein; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Domenick A. Cama upon the occasion of his designation for special recog-
nition by the Federation of Italian-American Organizations of Brooklyn,
Ltd., to be celebrated at its 37th Anniversary Gala on Sunday, March 30,
2014; and
WHEREAS, The Federation of Italian-American Organizations of Brooklyn
(the Federation) is a community-based service organization that provides
social assistance, education and recreational programming, and cultural
activities aimed towards enhancing the lives of individuals and fami-
lies, with a focus on those most in need: immigrants, seniors, and
youth; and
WHEREAS, For his outstanding leadership and service to the community,
Domenick A. Cama has been selected to receive the Federation's Man of
the Year Award; and
WHEREAS, Domenick A. Cama, a native of Brooklyn who earned his bach-
elor's degree in economics and master's degree in finance from Pace
University in New York City, is the Senior Executive Vice President and
Chief Operating Officer of Investors Bank, a full-service community bank
operating in New York and New Jersey; and
WHEREAS, Domenick A. Cama's visionary leadership has not only success-
fully focused on Investors Bank achieving an outstanding level of busi-
ness performance, but has placed equal emphasis on corporate social
responsibility and active involvement in the local communities it
serves; and
WHEREAS, During Domenick A. Cama's illustrious tenure, both Investors
Bank and its Foundation have lent their support to non-profits such as
the Community Services Food Pantry in Bensonhurst, Bonei Olam, the Dyker
Heights Knights Youth Sports Program, Hatzolah of Boro Park, the Feder-
ation of Italian-American Organizations of Brooklyn, OHEL Children's
Home & Family Services, Ronald McDonald House of New York Greek Divi-
sion, and the Council of Jewish Organizations of Flatbush; Investors
Bank also took an active role in Superstorm Sandy relief initiatives
through its support of local grass roots programs; and
WHEREAS, Genuinely concerned for the welfare of others, Domenick A.
Cama has assumed an active role in his community as well, serving as the
Essex County Heart Walk Survivor Ambassador for the American Heart Asso-
ciation, and acting as the organization's media spokesperson and key
speaker at many of their New Jersey events; in addition, he serves on
the boards of directors of the Madison YMCA, the Raritan Bay Medical
Center Foundation, and the CIIAC; and
WHEREAS, Now a resident of northern New Jersey, Domenick A. Cama has
been accompanied throughout by his wife, Wendy, and their three chil-
dren, all of whom feel privileged to be a part of his life and rejoice
in his achievements; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the quality of life in their community and have shown a long and
sustained commitment to the maintenance of high standards in their
profession, certainly have earned the recognition and applause of all
the citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Domenick A. Cama upon the occasion of his designation for special
recognition by the Federation of Italian-American Organizations of
Brooklyn, Ltd.; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Domenick A. Cama.
