LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Karen Trudell upon the occasion of her
designation as recipient of a Stakeholders Founders Award to be cele-
brated at the Stakeholder's 2014 GOBY Awards Ceremony on April 23, 2014

WHEREAS, It is incumbent upon the people of the State of New York to
recognize and acknowledge those within our midst who have made signif-
icant contributions to the quality of life therein; and
WHEREAS, From time to time this Legislative Body takes note of certain
extraordinary individuals it wishes to recognize for their valued
contributions to the success and progress of society and publicly
acknowledge their endeavors which have enhanced the basic humanity among
us all; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Karen Trudell
upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of a Stakeholders
Founders Award to be celebrated at the Stakeholder's 2014 GOBY Awards
Ceremony on Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at the GE Theatre at Proctors,
Schenectady, New York; and
WHEREAS, This illustrious award is bestowed upon board members and
staff of Stakeholders, Inc. who had an early and influential impact on
the formation and success of Stakeholders; and
WHEREAS, Karen Trudell joined The Stakeholders in 2009 with a shared
vision to make the Capital Region a better and more sustainable place to
live, to work, and to play; within her four years of service on the
Board of Directors, she spearheaded the marketing branding efforts of
the organization and worked diligently to promote the organization and
its mission; and
WHEREAS, A true visionary, Karen Trudell's goal is to live in a world
where doing business is personal, showing appreciation does not get lost
in the ritual of the daily grind, and people are sincere in their words
of praise; she inspires entrepreneurs to create an attitude of gratitude
within their brand; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which Karen Trudell has displayed through-
out her life; and
WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Karen Trudell upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of
the Stakeholders Founders Award at the Stakeholder's 2014 GOBY Awards
Ceremony on April 23, 2014; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Karen Trudell.
