LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Alan D. Alexander upon the occasion of
his designation as recipient of a Stakeholders Founders Award to be
celebrated at The Stakeholders 2014 GOBY Awards Ceremony on April 23,
2014
WHEREAS, It is incumbent upon the people of the State of New York to
recognize and acknowledge those within our midst who have made signif-
icant contributions to the quality of life therein; and
WHEREAS, From time to time this Legislative Body takes note of certain
extraordinary individuals it wishes to recognize for their valued
contributions to the success and progress of society and publicly
acknowledge their endeavors which have enhanced the basic humanity among
us all; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Alan D. Alex-
ander upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of a Stakehold-
ers Founders Award to be celebrated at The Stakeholders 2014 GOBY Awards
Ceremony on Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at the GE Theatre at Proctors,
Schenectady, New York; and
WHEREAS, This illustrious award is bestowed upon board members and
staff of The Stakeholders, Inc. who had an early and influential impact
on the formation and success of The Stakeholders; and
WHEREAS, Alan D. Alexander joined KeyCorp in 1993 and has been with
KeyBank Commercial Banking since May of 2007; he is currently a Senior
Relationship Manager for KeyBank's Capital Region Commercial Banking
Group; and
WHEREAS, In his capacity as Vice President Senior Relationship Manag-
er, Alan D. Alexander is responsible for new business development for
KeyBank within the Capital Region, as well as managing a large commer-
cial loan and deposit portfolio; and
WHEREAS, Prior to 2007, Alan D. Alexander was employed by KeyBanc
Capital Markets where he spent more than four years in the Financial
Sponsors Group; he also served for five years as a Portfolio Manager at
Key Corporate Capital Inc.; and
WHEREAS, Alan D. Alexander earned a Bachelor of Business Adminis-
tration degree from the University of Notre Dame in 1993, and received
an MBA from the State University of New York at Albany in 2000; and
WHEREAS, Focused on the sustainability of the Capital Region, Alan D.
Alexander has served as Treasurer of the Board for The Stakeholders,
Inc. since 2009 and is currently the Finance Trustee for St. Paul's
Evangelical Lutheran Church of Albany, New York; he also coaches Little
League Baseball at Tri Village Little League in Delmar; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which Alan D. Alexander has displayed
throughout his life; and
WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Alan D. Alexander upon the occasion of his designation as recipi-
ent of the Stakeholders Founders Award at The Stakeholders 2014 GOBY
Awards Ceremony on April 23, 2014; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Alan D. Alexander.
