LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Mel Olsen upon the occasion of his
designation for special recognition by the 2014 SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT
Men at Work Edition

WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve the
best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration and
cannot be sufficiently extolled; and
WHEREAS, Mel Olsen has given not only of his time and energies but
also of his competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently has
been designated for special honor; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to commend Mel Olsen
upon the occasion of his designation for special recognition by the 2014
SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT Men at Work Edition; and
WHEREAS, Mel Olsen is the owner of Mel's Garage, where, as Head
Mechanic, he seeks to provide personal, knowledgeable customer service,
striving for excellence in every encounter; and
WHEREAS, The owner of his garage for ten years, for more than 30 years
Mel Olsen has enhanced the quality of life of the residents in his
community, fixing their cars with a degree of skill that comes with
decades of experience, and serving his clients with integrity, dedi-
cation, and pride; and
WHEREAS, Mel Olsen worked his way through truck college to be a
mechanic; he is passionate about all facets of repair and construction,
whether it be vehicles, bathrooms or treehouses; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of his professional service, a
period of constructive involvement, Mel Olsen has stood constant in
dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the quality of life in their community and have shown a long and
sustained commitment to the maintenance of high standards in their
profession, certainly have earned the recognition and applause of all
the citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Mel Olsen upon the occasion of his designation for special
recognition by the 2014 SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT Men at Work Edition;
and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Mel Olsen.
