LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Ron Totten upon the occasion of his
designation for special recognition by the 2014 SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT
Men at Work Edition

WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve the
best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration and
cannot be sufficiently extolled; and
WHEREAS, Ron Totten has given not only of his time and energies but
also of his competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently has
been designated for special honor; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to commend Ron Totten
upon the occasion of his designation for special recognition by the 2014
SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT Men at Work Edition; and
WHEREAS, Ron Totten, Supported Employment Coordinator for New Hope
Community, Inc., develops appropriate opportunities for individuals with
disabilities to gain and maintain employment; and
WHEREAS, For 11 years, Ron Totten has made a difference in the lives
of countless individuals with disabilities, strengthening the fabric of
community life by ensuring that all residents have the chance to find
meaningful work, contribute to society, and fulfill their potential; and
WHEREAS, A resident of Loch Sheldrake, New York, Ron Totten studied at
SUNY Sullivan; and
WHEREAS, This community-minded man is actively engaged in civic organ-
izations, coaching his son's little league and soccer teams, and volun-
teering with the Young Emerging Leaders Committee; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of his professional and communi-
ty service, a period of constructive involvement, Ron Totten has stood
constant in dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the quality of life in their community and have shown a long and
sustained commitment to the maintenance of high standards in their
profession, certainly have earned the recognition and applause of all
the citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Ron Totten upon the occasion of his designation for special
recognition by the 2014 SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT Men at Work Edition;
and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Ron Totten.
