LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Brianne Ptak-Mimura upon the occasion of
her designation as recipient of a Stakeholders Founders Award to be
celebrated at the Stakeholders' 2014 GOBY Awards Ceremony on April 23,
2014

WHEREAS, It is incumbent upon the people of the State of New York to
recognize and acknowledge those within our midst who have made signif-
icant contributions to the quality of life therein; and
WHEREAS, From time to time this Legislative Body takes note of certain
extraordinary individuals it wishes to recognize for their valued
contributions to the success and progress of society and publicly
acknowledge their endeavors which have enhanced the basic humanity among
us all; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Brianne Ptak-
Mimura upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of a Stakehold-
ers Founders Award to be celebrated at the Stakeholders' 2014 GOBY
Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at the GE Theatre at Proc-
tors, Schenectady, New York; and
WHEREAS, This illustrious award is bestowed upon board members and
staff of The Stakeholders, Inc. who had an early and influential impact
on the formation and success of Stakeholders; and
WHEREAS, Marketing Coordinator for the AIDS Council of Northeastern
New York, Brianne Ptak-Mimura has been working with non-profit organiza-
tions for almost two decades; she holds a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts
from Sage College of Albany; and
WHEREAS, Brianne Ptak-Mimura volunteered with Crime Victims Awareness
for five years where she was instrumental in the organization of several
Crime Victim Awareness Week campaigns throughout Dutchess County; her
work was honorably recognized by New York State, Family Services, and
the Dutchess County District Attorney's Office; and
WHEREAS, As a Board Member and Co-Chair of the Marketing Committee of
The Stakeholders, Brianne Ptak-Mimura created several materials,
assisted with organizational rebranding, redesigned the website, helped
to develop a strategic plan, and mentored numerous interns; and
WHEREAS, In addition, Brianne Ptak-Mimura Co-Chaired the Arts Ambassa-
dor Institute, designed ads and posters for the Artist Guild's First
Friday, volunteered for the food bank, and supported several other local
organizations; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which Brianne Ptak-Mimura has displayed
throughout her life; and
WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Brianne Ptak-Mimura upon the occasion of her designation as recip-
ient of a Stakeholders Founders Award at the Stakeholders' 2014 GOBY
Awards Ceremony on April 23, 2014; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Brianne Ptak-Mimura.
