LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Reverend Dr. Marie S. Jerome upon the
occasion of her designation for special recognition by the Ambassador
for Christ International Outreach Ministry and Gateway Christian Center
on Sunday, May 4, 2014

WHEREAS, The character and richness of religious and community life in
this noble Empire State are nourished and fulfilled through the faithful
concern and selfless devotion of those who would commit their energies
and purpose to the ministry of others; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to bring full recog-
nition and just tribute to those individuals who distinguish themselves
and the ministry through their unremitting commitment and preeminence of
service; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Reverend Dr.
Marie S. Jerome upon the occasion of her designation for special recog-
nition by the Ambassador For Christ International Outreach Ministry and
Gateway Christian Center at its 4th Annual Pastors and Women of
Distinction Appreciation Awards Gala on Sunday, May 4, 2014, at Floral
Terrace, Floral Park, New York; and
WHEREAS, Reverend Dr. Marie S. Jerome is being recognized for her
exemplary work and commitment to her community, which serves to empower
others; and
WHEREAS, Born in Haiti in 1960, Reverend Dr. Marie S. Jerome began to
read the Bible in the Catholic Church at age 12 and two years later she
was the head of the Legionary Mission; she migrated to the United States
in July of 1979 and became a deacon in 1988; and
WHEREAS, Reverend Dr. Marie S. Jerome holds a Bachelor's degree in
Teaching, and upon receiving her call to the ministry, she began bible
school in 1994 at NYC Full Gospel Theological Seminary where she spent
two years; she then transferred to the International Theological Semi-
nary where she earned her doctorate degree in 2000; and
WHEREAS, Continuing her education, Reverend Dr. Marie S. Jerome
obtained a Certificate from Olford Ministries International Calvary
Baptist Church for artistry biblical preaching and teaching in 2001 and
became a licensed L.P.N.; and
WHEREAS, Reverend Dr. Marie S. Jerome is a government certified
marriage officiate, certified chaplain, temperament counselor, and a
professional pastor clinical member of the National Christian Counselors
Association Anointing by God Ministries; and
WHEREAS, In 2005, after more than 20 years as an evangelist, Reverend
Dr. Marie S. Jerome began her own ministry, Church of Evangelism for
All Nations in Farmingdale, New York; in addition, she is an active
member of the NAACP and the LICAN group; and
WHEREAS, With her throughout have been her loving husband, Daniel
Innocent, and their four beautiful children, all of whom feel privileged
to be a part of her life and rejoice in her achievements; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when a person
of such noble aims and accomplishments is brought to our attention it is
appropriate to publicly and jubilantly proclaim and commend that indi-
vidual for the edification of others; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Reverend Dr. Marie S. Jerome upon the occasion of her designation
for special recognition by the Ambassador For Christ International
Outreach Ministry and Gateway Christian Center on Sunday, May 4, 2014,
noting her unremitting and compassionate faith and her exemplary service
to God, man, and her community; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Reverend Dr. Marie S. Jerome.
