LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION congratulating Esther's House of Hope, Inc. upon
the occasion of celebrating its 6th Anniversary on May 31, 2014
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that the
quality and character of life in the communities across New York State
are reflective of the concerned and dedicated efforts of those organiza-
tions and individuals who would devote themselves to the welfare of the
community and its citizenry; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to congratu-
late Esther's House of Hope, Inc. upon the occasion of celebrating its
6th Anniversary on Saturday, May 31, 2014; and
WHEREAS, Founded in 2008, Esther's House of Hope, Inc. is a faith-
based organization that works across cultures to provide social welfare
services, spiritual enrichment and financial literacy; with a special
emphasis on young women, it promotes personal growth and development
through mentorship and lifestyle travel tours; and
WHEREAS, This remarkable organization's purpose is to transform the
lives of those it helps through programs designed to foster meaningful
change; it provides disadvantaged women ages 18-25 with temporary shel-
ter, coaching, mentorships, and educational empowerment; through its
many services, they are equipped with the tools and self-confidence to
take control of their lives, break negative cycles, and embody success;
and
WHEREAS, Esther's House of Hope, Inc. has been the recipient of numer-
ous awards and honors, including: the Congressional Achievement Award,
the Lady of Impact Award, a Town of Hempstead Certificate of Recogni-
tion, and numerous New York City Council and State citations; and
WHEREAS, Esther's House of Hope, Inc. has become a solid cornerstone
of the community it serves; it stands ready to continue its important
mission of restoring lives, extending hope and fulfilling visions for
many years to come; and
WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations, in
recognition of the significance of this meritorious achievement, to
congratulate and honor Esther's House of Hope, Inc. upon the occasion of
celebrating its 6th Anniversary; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Esther's House of Hope, Inc.
