LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring the Entertainers 4 Education Alliance,
Inc. upon the occasion of hosting its I WILL GRADUATE campaign on Febru-
ary 10, 2014

WHEREAS, From time to time this Legislative Body takes note of certain
extraordinary individuals and organizations it wishes to recognize for
their valued contributions to the success and progress of society and
publicly acknowledge their endeavors which have enhanced the basic
humanity among us all; and
WHEREAS, Organizations which serve the interests of the people of this
Empire State and are dedicated to the health and welfare of our young
people merit the commendation of this Legislative Body; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor the Entertain-
ers 4 Education Alliance, Inc. upon the occasion of hosting its I WILL
GRADUATE campaign on Monday, February 10, 2014; and
WHEREAS, The Entertainers 4 Education Alliance (E4EA) is a non-profit
organization that utilizes the power of celebrities, musicians, sports
figures, high profile individuals and entertainment to promote positive
messages to young people about the importance of education, personal
advancement and social commitment; and
WHEREAS, The Entertainers 4 Education Alliance believes that every
student deserves a quality education, and is committed to strengthening
its communities by lowering the alarmingly high dropout rate in Ameri-
ca's schools; and
WHEREAS, The I WILL GRADUATE campaign is E4EA's dropout prevention
campaign and a call to action for students, parents, and the entire
community to increase educational achievement in today's youth; its goal
is to provide powerful messages to students about the importance of
education, through various forms of multimedia and events; and
WHEREAS, The Entertainers 4 Education Alliance inspires youth to take
responsibility for bettering themselves and connects them and their
families to resources and opportunities designed to assist students in
overcoming challenges, and achieving academic and personal success; and
WHEREAS, In addition, E4EA empowers its young people by helping them
realize their incredible potential, and by sharing information and know-
ledge through workshops and events that provide the tools necessary to
set and achieve goals; and
WHEREAS, This exemplary organization truly merits recognition for its
stellar efforts on behalf of young people and their futures; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when organiza-
tions of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor the Entertainers 4 Education Alliance upon the occasion of hosting
its I WILL GRADUATE campaign on February 10, 2014; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to the Entertainers 4 Education Alliance, Inc.
