LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending the Buffalo Junior Chamber of Commerce
upon the occasion of their designation for special recognition by the
New York State Junior Chamber of Commerce Board

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that the
quality and character of life in the communities across New York State
are reflective of the concerned and dedicated efforts of those organiza-
tions and individuals who would devote themselves to the welfare of the
community and its citizenry; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
the Buffalo Junior Chamber of Commerce upon the occasion of their desig-
nation for special recognition by the New York State Junior Chamber of
Commerce Board; the organization was honored with several awards for
outstanding work at its General Membership Meeting, Wednesday, February
12, 2014; and
WHEREAS, The New York State Junior Chamber of Commerce Board presents
awards three times per year for outstanding work within that specific
trimester; the organization also presents an award for overall excellent
work throughout the year; and
WHEREAS, The Buffalo Chamber of Commerce's (Buffalo Jaycees') honors
for Third Trimester, 2013, include: Outstanding Individual Vice Presi-
dent, Lindsay Krug; Outstanding Vice President of International Affairs,
Joe Rembold; Outstanding Local Chapter Officer, Emily Ellett; Outstand-
ing Very Important Partner, Jeremy Laubacker; Outstanding Public
Relations, CJ Maurer; and Outstanding Local Chapter; and
WHEREAS, The Buffalo Jaycees were also honored for exceptional
performance for 2013: Outstanding Vice President of Community Relations,
Samantha Calabrese; and
WHEREAS, Founded in 1932, the Buffalo Jaycees is the leadership train-
ing organization for young people ages 21-40 in Western New York; and
WHEREAS, The Buffalo Jaycees offers its membership the tools necessary
for professional success, providing education and support in business
development, management, individual training and international opportu-
nities, through various events, conventions, and other channels through-
out the year; and
WHEREAS, In addition, the Buffalo Junior Chamber of Commerce is a
community service and development organization; for 75 years this enter-
prising group has made a positive difference in the lives of Western New
Yorkers, and their neighborhoods; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when organiza-
tions of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
the great State of New York; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend the Buffalo Junior Chamber of Commerce upon the occasion of
their designation for special recognition by the New York State Junior
Chamber of Commerce Board; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to the Buffalo Junior Chamber of Commerce.
