LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Isabelle Lombardi upon the occasion of
her designation as recipient of the Student Award by the Capital
District YMCA Guilderland and Bethlehem branches

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and pay
tribute to those young people within the great Empire State who have
made strong contributions to their communities and who serve as role
models for their peers; and
WHEREAS, It is the practice of this Legislative Body to act, in accord
with its long-standing traditions, honoring the youth of today, and
leaders of tomorrow, whose character and achievements best exemplify the
ideals and values cherished by this great State and Nation; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Isabelle
Lombardi upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of the
Student Award by the Capital District YMCA Guilderland and Bethlehem
branches to be celebrated at its 17th Annual Outstanding Student and
Educator ceremony on Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at the Appel Inn in Alta-
mont, New York; and
WHEREAS, A junior at the Academy of Holy Names, Isabelle Lombardi is
an active youth in the Diocese of Albany both at her high school and St.
Vincent de Paul Church; and
WHEREAS, Isabelle Lombardi has served in the Service Action Learning
Team (S.A.L.T.) with the Diocese, and attended the Christian Leadership
Institute to focus on Christian leadership skills in today's world; and
WHEREAS, Her outstanding leadership at this event assisted Isabelle
Lombardi in being appointed to the Diocesan Youth Ministry Team; and
WHEREAS, Along with her church, Isabelle Lombardi is active in Figure
Skating, Dance, Track and Field, and Cross Country; and
WHEREAS, With her sense of civic duty and her commitment to others,
Isabelle Lombardi represents the best development of the potential which
is inherent in our most precious resource, our youth; and
WHEREAS, This occasion presents an opportunity for this Legislative
Body to wish Isabelle Lombardi continued success throughout her school
years and beyond; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Isabelle Lombardi upon the occasion of her designation as recipi-
ent of the Student Award by the Capital District YMCA Guilderland and
Bethlehem branches; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Isabelle Lombardi.
