LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Frank and Carolyn Argento upon the occa-
sion of their designation for special recognition by the Saint Joachim
Roman Catholic Church, on June 14, 2014

WHEREAS, It is incumbent upon the people of the State of New York to
recognize and acknowledge those within our midst who have made signif-
icant contributions to the quality of life therein; and
WHEREAS, From time to time this Legislative Body takes note of certain
extraordinary individuals it wishes to recognize for their valued
contributions to the success and progress of society and publicly
acknowledge their endeavors which have enhanced the basic humanity among
us all; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Frank and Carolyn Argento upon the occasion of their designation for
special recognition by the Saint Joachim Roman Catholic Church to be
celebrated at its 35th Annual Diamond Ball on Saturday, June 14, 2014,
at The Lawrence Club, Lawrence, New York; and
WHEREAS, Frank and Carolyn Argento have continually demonstrated
tremendous competence, extraordinary intelligence, and diligent leader-
ship in their unwavering service to both their community and their
faith; and
WHEREAS, Carolyn Argento was born and raised in Valley Stream, New
York, and moved to the Five Towns in 1997; she has been a successful
realtor for 15 years in both sales and management roles; and
WHEREAS, Carolyn Argento is currently completing a Business Law degree
at Brooklyn College and plans to pursue law school next year; and
WHEREAS, An avid participant in fundraising events for her children's
schools for the past 15 years, Carolyn Argento also volunteers for St.
John's Hospital golf outings; she enjoys golfing and is currently the
President of the Lawrence Ladies Club; and
WHEREAS, Frank Argento grew up in Far Rockaway, New York; he found his
way to the Inwood Country Club in the spring of 1973, where he worked
until he was 23 years old; he left Inwood as the Assistant Manager in
1984, to take the position as General Manager at the Lawrence Village
Country Club; he went on to spend 26 years at Lawrence; and
WHEREAS, Currently, Frank Argento is the Chief Operating Officer and
General Manager of The Rockaway Hunting Club; and
WHEREAS, Frank Argento is an active community member; he served as a
trustee and president of the Lawrence school board from 1995 through
2002, and is presently a Commissioner of Sanitary District No. 1 where
he has served as Chairman of the Board; in addition, he has been
involved in and chaired many charity golf events and is currently the
golf chairman of the Saint John's Hospital Golf Outing, and has coached
Inwood Buccaneers soccer and basketball teams; and
WHEREAS, Carolyn and Frank are the proud parents of six children,
Laura, Frank Jr., Danielle, Jacquelyn, Kaitlyn, and Adam, all of whom
feel privileged to be a part of their lives and rejoice in their
achievements; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our attention
it is appropriate to publicly and jubilantly proclaim and commend those
individuals for the edification of others; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Frank and Carolyn Argento upon the occasion of their designation
for special recognition by the Saint Joachim Roman Catholic Church, on
June 14, 2014; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Frank and Carolyn Argento.
