LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION congratulating Brooklyn Marriage & Family Therapy
upon the occasion of celebrating its First Anniversary

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and pay
tribute to those individuals and organizations within the mental health
field that distinguish themselves through professional excellence and
who have made significant contributions to the quality of life of citi-
zens in the State of New York; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to congratu-
late Brooklyn Marriage & Family Therapy upon the occasion of celebrating
its First Anniversary; this joyous occasion was marked at its First
Anniversary Reception on Wednesday, April 9, 2014, at the Guild Green
Gallery in Brooklyn, New York; and
WHEREAS, Brooklyn Marriage & Family Therapy operates under the compas-
sionate guidance of Cheryl Donald, LMFT, MBA, who established the prac-
tice one year ago to help individuals "Bridge The Gap" in family
relationships, and restore their mental health; and
WHEREAS, A skilled healer, Cheryl Donald has helped more than 100
Brooklynites manage their depression, anxiety, trauma, mental health,
and relationship difficulties; and
WHEREAS, In addition, she has committed herself to addressing mental
and physical health issues at a community level, speaking at local
churches, civic organizations and the media about a range of health
concerns and their impact on communities; and
WHEREAS, This occasion presents an opportunity for this Legislative
Body to recognize and commend Brooklyn Marriage & Family Therapy for
bringing support, information and healing to families in Brooklyn; and
WHEREAS, As a leader in her profession, Cheryl Donald has proven
herself to be a great asset to the health and welfare of the citizens of
the State of New York; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Brooklyn Marriage & Family Therapy upon the occasion of
celebrating its First Anniversary; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Cheryl Donald, owner, Brooklyn Marriage & Family Therapy.
