LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Brad Rutledge upon the occasion of his
selection as a Young Professional Up and Comer in the Business Community
by the SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and pay
tribute to those young adults within the great Empire State who have
made strong contributions to their communities and who serve as role
models for their peers; and
WHEREAS, Brad Rutledge has given not only of his time and energies but
also of his competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently has
been designated for special recognition; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Brad
Rutledge upon the occasion of his selection as a Young Professional Up
and Comer in the Business Community by the SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT; and
WHEREAS, Brad Rutledge, Cochecton resident, musician, and Associate
Agent at Keats Agency, was selected for this esteemed recognition for
being hardworking, ambitious, and creative; and
WHEREAS, After graduating from Colerain High School, Cincinnati, in
1993, Brad Rutledge attended the University of Cincinnati; while there,
he began pursuing a job in sales for four months, before he was
recruited as a loan officer for a mortgage company; and
WHEREAS, After many years spent in mortgages, Brad Rutledge obtained
his insurance license, and went on to work for Allstate Insurance; and
WHEREAS, Later, after making the move to Sullivan County, Brad
Rutledge joined the Keats Agency as a Nationwide Insurance Agent; in
2006, he had the opportunity to expand his insurance knowledge by work-
ing with a local wholesale insurance agency; six years later, he went
back to Keats Agency as an Associate Agent; and
WHEREAS, With an insatiable thirst for knowledge, Brad Rutledge
continuously seeks opportunities to enhance his knowledge in the insur-
ance field to better serve his clients; and
WHEREAS, A man who takes pride in working for Keats Agency, Brad
Rutledge is expertly in tune to his customers' needs, and truly enjoys
customizing insurance programs to fit each person or business; and
WHEREAS, A singer and rhythm guitarist for the popular local band "Far
Beyond Gone," Brad Rutledge also gives back to his community as co-chair
of the Young Emerging Leaders, a Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce
task force, and sits on the Chamber Board of Directors, and the Sulliva-
nArc Foundation Board of Directors; and
WHEREAS, With him throughout has been his wife, Jackie, who feels
privileged to be a part of his life and rejoice in his achievements; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Brad Rutledge upon the occasion of his selection as a Young
Professional Up and Comer in the Business Community by the SULLIVAN
COUNTY DEMOCRAT; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Brad Rutledge.
