LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring John Nober upon the occasion of his
selection as a Young Professional Up and Comer in the Business Community
by the SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and pay
tribute to those young adults within the great Empire State who have
made strong contributions to their communities and who serve as role
models for their peers; and
WHEREAS, John Nober has given not only of his time and energies but
also of his competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently has
been designated for special recognition; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor John
Nober upon the occasion of his selection as a Young Professional Up and
Comer in the Business Community by the SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT; and
WHEREAS, John Nober, Operations Manager of Gasko & Meyer, was selected
for this esteemed recognition for being hardworking, ambitious, and
creative; and
WHEREAS, Established in 1939, Gasko & Meyer was started by John
Nober's great-grandparents in Lake Huntington, New York; he relishes
being part of a tradition; and
WHEREAS, With his experience at the family-owned business dating back
nearly a quarter of a century, John Nober's first role at the company
was working on the empties and returnables; and
WHEREAS, Today, as the company's Operations Manager, John Nober
focuses on growing the business, ordering product, checking on deliv-
eries, managing, inventory, routing the fleet of delivery trucks and
managing their drivers, and overseeing warehouse staff; and
WHEREAS, Once only a local beer distributor, the operations of Gasko &
Meyer now span a delivery area of 22 counties; they have also purchased
County Fountain Supplies to expand their product line, and continue to
enhance their ability to reach northern territories; and
WHEREAS, Expertly in tune to his customers' needs, John Nober has
helped increase Gasko & Meyer's product line from their initial offer-
ings of Schaefer and other domestics to imported and craft beers, and a
wine and spirits division; and
WHEREAS, A Misericordia University graduate, John Nober looks forward
to aiding in the continued growth of his family's 75-year-old business;
and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor John Nober upon the occasion of his selection as a Young Profes-
sional Up and Comer in the Business Community by the SULLIVAN COUNTY
DEMOCRAT; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to John Nober.
