LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Cara Kowalski upon the occasion of her
selection as a Young Professional Up and Comer in the Business Community
by the SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and pay
tribute to those young adults within the great Empire State who have
made strong contributions to their communities and who serve as role
models for their peers; and
WHEREAS, Cara Kowalski has given not only of her time and energies but
also of her competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently has
been designated for special recognition; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Cara
Kowalski upon the occasion of her selection as a Young Professional Up
and Comer in the Business Community by the SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT; and
WHEREAS, Cara Kowalski, Volunteer Coordinator at Sullivan Renaissance,
was selected for this esteemed recognition for being hardworking, ambi-
tious, and creative; and
WHEREAS, Among her many duties and responsibilities at Sullivan
Renaissance, Cara Kowalski runs the Volunteer Corps program, assists
beautification groups that receive Sullivan Renaissance funding, works
with community outreach efforts, and takes care of social media; and
WHEREAS, Keen to bringing new prospective to her Volunteer Corps
program, Cara Kowalski willingly dresses up as "Rennie the Rooster," the
Sullivan Renaissance mascot, during events; and
WHEREAS, Her strong love for community work, and all of the energy and
challenges it entails, has pushed Cara Kowalski to be more understand-
ing, more creative, and generally more self-aware, resulting in a very
self-rewarding career; and
WHEREAS, Cara Kowalski's favorite part of her job is knowing that she
is facilitating and strengthening opportunities for impactful community
involvement; she relishes in the enriching experiences she has had, and
is continuously learning, while working with great people in and out of
the office; and
WHEREAS, Before she began her illustrious career at Sullivan Renais-
sance, Cara Kowalski worked for a community action agency in her home-
town of Saratoga Springs, New York; previous to working there, she
managed the food bank's volunteer program through Jesuit Volunteer Corps
Northwest in Spokane, Washington; and
WHEREAS, Cara Kowalski holds a degree in geography and sociology from
SUNY Geneseo; and
WHEREAS, This dedicated woman is active in her community as a member
of the Liberty Lions Club, and Monticello Interfaith Council; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Cara Kowalski upon the occasion of her selection as a Young
Professional Up and Comer in the Business Community by the SULLIVAN
COUNTY DEMOCRAT; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Cara Kowalski.
