LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Jerome Maldonado upon the occasion of
his selection as a Young Professional Up and Comer in the Business
Community by the SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and pay
tribute to those young adults within the great Empire State who have
made strong contributions to their communities and who serve as role
models for their peers; and
WHEREAS, Jerome Maldonado has given not only of his time and energies
but also of his competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently
has been designated for special recognition; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Jerome Maldonado upon the occasion of his selection as a Young Profes-
sional Up and Comer in the Business Community by the SULLIVAN COUNTY
DEMOCRAT; and
WHEREAS, Jerome Maldonado, Cook at New Hope Community Bistro, was
selected for this esteemed recognition for being hardworking, ambitious,
and creative; and
WHEREAS, In August of 2012, Jerome Maldonado began working in the
Maintenance department at New Hope Community in Loch Sheldrake, New
York; and
WHEREAS, With a keen sense of experience with cooking, Jerome Maldona-
do was transferred in October of 2013 to New Hope's Community Bistro,
where employees can order fresh made meals for breakfast and lunch; his
favorite kitchen activity is baking; and
WHEREAS, An excellent employee who thrives in the kitchen, Jerome
Maldonado is always at New Hope Community Bistro ready to do everything
from prep work, cooking, and running the register; his positive and
great personality has developed a wonderful rapport with everyone at New
Hope Community; and
WHEREAS, Having graduated from Sullivan County BOCES's culinary
program in June of 2013, Jerome Maldonado has a loftier goal to become a
master chef; his passion for cooking and the people and customers he
works with keep him motivated and determined to reach his goal; and
WHEREAS, With him throughout has been his inspiring mother, who feels
privileged to be a part of his life and rejoices in his achievements;
and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Jerome Maldonado upon the occasion of his selection as a Young
Professional Up and Comer in the Business Community by the SULLIVAN
COUNTY DEMOCRAT; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Jerome Maldonado.
