LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Kasey Palmer upon the occasion of her
recognition by the Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Association as
a 2014 OCIAA Scholar Athlete

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to act, in accord with
its long-standing traditions, to honor the achievements of its young
citizens and leaders of tomorrow, whose character and accomplishments
exemplify the ideals and values cherished by this great State and
nation; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Kasey Palmer
upon the occasion of her recognition by the Orange County Interscholas-
tic Athletic Association as a 2014 OCIAA Scholar Athlete; and
WHEREAS, Academically and athletically, Kasey Palmer has distinguished
herself as a young woman of superlative ability, talent, and maturity,
establishing standards of excellence and achievement, purposefulness of
life, and responsibility rarely achieved in youthful years; and
WHEREAS, Kasey Palmer, a student at Chester Academy High School in
Chester, New York, ranked 8th in her class and participated in soccer
and softball; and
WHEREAS, Class Vice-President and a member of the National Honor Soci-
ety, Kasey Palmer plans to attend the University of Massachusetts or the
University of Rhode Island to major in Business Marketing; and
WHEREAS, An outstanding role model for her classmates, Kasey Palmer
has brought honor to her family, school, and community; and
WHEREAS, Kasey Palmer may stand with pride in her achievements, expe-
riencing the satisfaction of her labors and the joy of her accomplish-
ments, eager to face the challenge of new experiences as she continues
her education; and
WHEREAS, Kasey Palmer represents the potential inherent in our most
precious resource, our youth; this Legislative Body is pleased to honor
this young woman, recognizing her achievements and the promise of her
future; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Kasey Palmer upon the occasion of her recognition by the Orange
County Interscholastic Athletic Association as a 2014 OCIAA Scholar
Athlete, and to wish her well in her future endeavors; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Kasey Palmer.
