LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Yolanda M. Skvorak upon the occasion of
being named Senior Volunteer of the Year by the Carthage Area Hospital
Auxiliary

WHEREAS, It is incumbent upon the people of the State of New York to
recognize and acknowledge those within our midst who have made signif-
icant contributions to the quality of life therein; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Yolanda M.
Skvorak upon the occasion of being named Senior Volunteer of the Year by
the Carthage Area Hospital Auxiliary; and
WHEREAS, For nearly two decades, Yolanda M. Skvorak has served her
community through the Carthage Area Hospital Auxiliary, a group of men
and women whose efforts are responsible for assisting the hospital with
the purchase of much-needed medical equipment; and
WHEREAS, Throughout her years of service as a member of the Carthage
Area Hospital Auxiliary, Yolanda M. Skvorak has volunteered her time as
Publicity Chairwoman and a member of the Ways and Means Committee; and
WHEREAS, In addition, Yolanda M. Skvorak has spent countless hours
volunteering to help make fundraisers possible, such as the Fall into
Fashion benefit, geranium sale and Christmas bake sale; and
WHEREAS, An individual who has truly gone above and beyond to serve
her community, Yolanda M. Skvorak has made a difference not only at
Carthage Area Hospital, but in the North Country region as a whole; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Yolanda M. Skvorak upon the occasion of being named Senior Volun-
teer of the Year by the Carthage Area Hospital Auxiliary; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Yolanda M. Skvorak.
