LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Dr. Linda Richardson upon the occasion
of her designation as recipient of the 2014 Women of Excellence Award by
the Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber of Commerce
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that the
quality and character of life in the communities across New York State
are reflective of the concerned and dedicated efforts of those organiza-
tions and individuals who would devote themselves to the welfare of the
community and its citizenry; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
Dr. Linda Richardson upon the occasion of her designation as recipient
of the 2014 Women of Excellence Award by the Albany-Colonie Regional
Chamber of Commerce; she will be honored at its 23rd Annual Luncheon on
Friday, May 30, 2014, at the Marriott, Albany, New York; and
WHEREAS, The Women of Excellence Awards recognize women who have
achieved success in their professional careers and dedicated themselves
to community service; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Linda Richardson, Vice President for Academic Affairs at
Siena College, Loudonville, New York, has been chosen as the 2014 Excel-
lence in Management (100-plus Employees) honoree; and
WHEREAS, The Excellence in Management honoree must have evidenced
steady growth and continued development of management and leadership
skills; in receiving this honor, Dr. Linda Richardson has ably demon-
strated her initiative and willingness to take risks, her exceptional
ability to implement creative solutions to challenges, and her talent
for seizing opportunities for herself and the people she manages, creat-
ing an empowering environment that maximizes the potential of the compa-
ny's employees; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of her community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Dr. Linda Richardson has stood
constant in dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, It is the conviction of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Dr. Linda Richardson upon the occasion of her designation as
recipient of the 2014 Women of Excellence Award by the Albany-Colonie
Regional Chamber of Commerce; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Dr. Linda Richardson.
