LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Popular Community Bank upon the occa-
sion of its designation for special recognition at the Brooklyn Chil-
dren's Museum 2014 Annual Awards Gala on June 5, 2014

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that the
quality and character of life in the communities across New York State
are reflective of the concerned and dedicated efforts of those organiza-
tions and individuals who would devote themselves to the welfare of the
community and its citizenry; and
WHEREAS, It is incumbent upon the people of the State of New York to
recognize and acknowledge those within our midst who have made signif-
icant contributions to the quality of life therein; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
Popular Community Bank upon the occasion of its designation for special
recognition at the Brooklyn Children's Museum 2014 Annual Awards Gala on
Thursday, June 5, 2014, at Three-Sixty Degrees in Tribeca, New York; and
WHEREAS, Popular Community Bank will receive this auspicious award for
its exceptional community to New York City families; and
WHEREAS, Popular Community Bank acts as a resource bank for the commu-
nities it serves by making ongoing pledges of volunteer time, applying
its skill set to guide those that need the most financial help, and by
"depositing" financial resources to local and national organizations in
order to make great strides to improve their communities; and
WHEREAS, With a legacy of more than 100 years of building and foster-
ing communities, Popular Community Bank is proud to have positively
impacted many communities, customers, and partners by taking modest
steps and other times, grand steps to make good change happen; and
WHEREAS, Committed to enhancing the quality of life in the communities
it serves, Popular Community Bank gives customers the financial opportu-
nities they need and deserve while creating jobs in those communities
where they forge strong partnerships; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Popular Community Bank upon the occasion of its designation for
special recognition at the Brooklyn Children's Museum 2014 Annual Awards
Gala on June 5, 2014; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Popular Community Bank.
