LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Joseph Rubin upon the occasion of being
inducted into the 2014 Liberty Central School District Wall of Fame
WHEREAS, A great community is only as great as those persons who provide
exemplary service, whether through participation in voluntary programs,
through unique personal achievement in their profession or other endeav-
ors, or simply through a lifetime of good citizenship; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that
the quality and character of life in the communities across New York
State are reflective of the concerned and dedicated efforts of those
unique individuals who have shown a long and sustained commitment to
excellence; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Joseph Rubin upon the occasion of being inducted into the 2014 Liberty
Central School District Wall of Fame; this auspicious occasion will be
celebrated at a breakfast reception on Saturday, June 28, 2014; and
WHEREAS, The Liberty Central School District Wall of Fame was created
by the Board of Education as a way to honor Liberty alumni who have made
significant contributions to society and who have displayed exceptional
professionalism and commitment in their professions; and
WHEREAS, A graduate of the class of 1956, Joseph Rubin is the founder
and senior partner of Rubin & Balin, LLP, an international and domestic
corporate and commercial law practice; he advises numerous governments
and companies world-wide on important economic and legal matters; and
WHEREAS, Joseph Rubin was also a professor at Columbia University,
where he taught courses in law, business management, entrepreneurship,
and international privatization; furthermore, he is the founder and
director of an international executive training institute, through which
he conducts management training programs in Russia and China and the
United States; and
WHEREAS, In addition, this esteemed man is an accomplished photogra-
pher whose work has been featured in numerous publications, and exhib-
ited in galleries across the world; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Joseph Rubin upon the occasion of being inducted into the 2014
Liberty Central School District Wall of Fame, and to wish him the best
in all of his future endeavors; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Joseph Rubin.
