LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Gerry Hudson upon the occasion of his
retirement after 36 years of distinguished service in the field of
education

WHEREAS, It is incumbent upon the people of the State of New York to
recognize and acknowledge those within our midst who have made signif-
icant contributions to the quality of life therein; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Gerry Hudson
upon the occasion of his retirement after 36 years of distinguished
service in the field of education, 30 of which he served the Altmar-Par-
ish-Williamstown Central School District, and 5 years serving as
District Superintendent; and
WHEREAS, Gerry Hudson earned his associate's degree at Jefferson
Community College; a bachelor's degree from SUNY Potsdam, and a master's
degree in Public School Administration from St. Lawrence University; and
WHEREAS, Gerry Hudson has come to be known as an exemplary superinten-
dent whose life's work has been dedicated to the community of Altmar-
Parish-Williamstown and its children; and
WHEREAS, Gerry Hudson's proven leadership, his ability to unite the
Altmar-Parish-Williamstown educational community with the community at
large, and his vision for a strong, successful and enduring school
district has greatly benefitted the students, parents and staff of the
Altmar-Parish-Williamstown Central School District; and
WHEREAS, The knowledge and expertise this hardworking administrator
has brought to the Altmar-Parish-Williamstown community makes him a
clear symbol of success for all of New York's educational leaders; and
WHEREAS, For three decades, Gerry Hudson has put the students of the
Altmar-Parish-Williamstown School District first, working tirelessly to
help them succeed; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Gerry Hudson upon the occasion of his retirement after 36 years of
dedicated service in the field of education; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Gerry Hudson.
