LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Dr. John D. George III upon the occasion
of his retirement after more than 40 years of distinguished service to
the Oneida County community

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to acknowledge the
significant milestones in the distinguished careers of esteemed resi-
dents of this noble Empire State; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Dr.
John D. George III upon the occasion of his retirement after more than
40 years of distinguished service to the Oneida County community; and
WHEREAS, A resident of Verona, New York, Dr. John D. George III served
his country nobly in the United States Army before joining his father,
Dr. John D. George Jr. at their home based Verona Family Practice in
September 1969; and
WHEREAS, The George family of physicians have dedicated their lives to
the residents of the Oneida County area for over 100 years; and
WHEREAS, For more than 40 years, Dr. John George III rendered faith-
ful, conscientious and valuable service to the Oneida County community,
earning the admiration, esteem and affection of his colleagues; and
WHEREAS, In his capacity as a medical doctor, Dr. John D. George III
served with loyalty, honor and distinction, was governed by a keen sense
of duty and always showed a unique grasp of human problems in his offi-
cial acts; and
WHEREAS, It is the intent of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
the great State of New York; and
WHEREAS, A true asset to society, Dr. John George III's distinguished
record merits the recognition and respectful tribute of this Legislative
Body; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor John D. George IIII upon the occasion of his retirement after more
than 40 years of distinguished service to the Oneida County community;
and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Dr. John D. George III.
