LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Ruth Fishbeck upon the occasion of
being named the 2014 Woman of the Year by the DePeyster Methodist Church
WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve the
best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration and
cannot be sufficiently extolled; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to commend Ruth Fish-
beck upon the occasion of being named the 2014 Woman of the Year by the
DePeyster Methodist Church; and
WHEREAS, This momentous occasion was announced at the DePeyster Metho-
dist Church's Mother and Daughter Banquet, and Ruth Fishbeck was later
presented with her award by the President of the DePeyster United Metho-
dist Women; and
WHEREAS, Ruth Fishbeck has been an active member of the church, and
supporting her years of service is her husband, Dean, and their chil-
dren, Tim, Vicki and JoAnn, all of whom feel privileged to be a part of
her life and rejoice in her achievements; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which Ruth Fishbeck has displayed through
her service; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Ruth Fishbeck upon the occasion of being named the 2014 Woman of
the Year by the DePeyster Methodist Church; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Ruth Fishbeck.
