LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Susan Wright upon the occasion of being
named the 2014 MBA/MS Professor of the Year by the Graduate Students of
Clarkson University

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to take note of and
publicly acknowledge individuals of remarkable integrity and character
whose endeavors have enhanced the quality of education in the State of
New York; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Susan Wright upon the occasion of being named the 2014 MBA/MS Professor
of the Year by the Graduate Students of Clarkson University; and
WHEREAS, The award, instituted in 2001, was presented to Susan Wright
on May 3, 2014, at the graduate students' end of the year banquet, where
her name was added to a plaque to be displayed in the lobby of the
Clarkson School of Business; and
WHEREAS, A 1986 graduate of Clarkson University, who also received her
MBA from the school in 1995, Susan Wright has served as a professor at
the University School of Business for 11 years; and
WHEREAS, A native of Morristown, New York, Susan Wright is responsible
for a number of innovations at the Clarkson School of Business, includ-
ing being one of the first professors to embrace on-line teaching; and
WHEREAS, The future success of our State and Nation is dependent upon
individuals such as Susan Wright, who dedicate their lives as educators,
devoted to their students; and
WHEREAS, Throughout her career, Susan Wright has brought an uncompro-
mising standard of excellence to her work and a warm sense of caring and
concern to every student she educates; and
WHEREAS, Educators like Susan Wright provide a tremendous service to
the future of our State and Nation, inspiring generations of people in
their educational journeys and ensuring their success in their future
years; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Susan Wright upon the occasion of being named the 2014 MBA/MS
Professor of the Year by the Graduate Students of Clarkson University;
and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Susan Wright.
