LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Keith Fadelici, LCSW-R upon the occasion
of being selected as the 2014 Social Worker of the Year by the National
Association of Social Workers, New York State Chapter

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to publicly recognize
those extraordinary individuals who have made contributions to the
success and progress of society in the course of their life's work; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Keith Fadelici upon the occasion of being selected as the 2014 Social
Worker of the Year by the National Association of Social Workers, New
York State Chapter; and
WHEREAS, Keith Fadelici is a fierce advocate for victims' rights as
Assistant Director and Trauma Therapist at Victims Assistance Services;
and
WHEREAS, Keith Fadelici works with individuals and groups affected by
domestic violence, rape, sexual abuse, and with survivors of homicide
victims and those profoundly injured by interpersonal violence as well
as offenders and perpetrators of crime; and
WHEREAS, As clinical supervisor of staff who work with those who have
experienced trauma, he helps them to understand the impact of vicarious
trauma on their clinical practice; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which Keith Fadelici has displayed
throughout his life; and
WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the quality of life in their community and have shown a long and
sustained commitment to the maintenance of high standards in their
profession, certainly have earned the recognition and applause of all
the citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Keith Fadelici upon the occasion of being selected as the 2014
Social Worker of the Year by the National Association of Social Workers,
New York State Chapter; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Keith Fadelici.
