LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending the Occupations Foundation. Inc. upon
the occasion of hosting its 2014 Gala on November 15, 2014, and applaud-
ing the honorees of the evening
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that the
quality and character of life in the communities across New York State
are reflective of the concerned and dedicated efforts of those organiza-
tions and individuals who would devote themselves to the welfare of the
community and its citizenry; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
the Occupations Foundation, Inc. upon the occasion of hosting its 2014
Gala on November 15, 2014, at Anthony's Pier 9, New Windsor, New York,
and to applaud the honorees of the evening; and
WHEREAS, The Occupations Foundation, Inc. is the fundraising organiza-
tion of Occupations, Inc., Family Empowerment Council, Inc., and New
Dynamics Corporation, or often referred to as the Occupations System of
Services; and
WHEREAS, Together these three organizations address the needs of thou-
sands in the Hudson Valley through a dynamic system of care, and strive
to improve and enrich lives by providing opportunities and choices; and
WHEREAS, At its 2014 Gala, the Occupations Foundation, Inc. will honor
Michael and Jennifer Bonura, Joseph and J'aime Bonura, and Brent and
Mary Caster with its Vision of Hope Award for their many years of dedi-
cated service to the Foundation and the Hudson Valley community; and
WHEREAS, Michael and Jennifer Bonura, Joseph and J'aime Bonura, and
Brent and Mary Caster have distinguished themselves through outstanding
character, leadership, excellence and community involvement; they are
all true assets to society; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by individuals
for the benefit of others which Michael and Jennifer Bonura, Joseph and
J'aime Bonura, and Brent and Mary Caster have displayed throughout their
lives; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when organiza-
tions and individuals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought
to our attention, it is appropriate to publicly proclaim and commend
them for the edification and emulation of others; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend the Occupation Foundation, Inc. upon the occasion of hosting its
2014 Gala on November 15, 2014, and to applaud the honorees of the even-
ing; and be it further
RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to the Occupations Foundation, Inc., and the aforementioned
honorees.
