LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Weber Septic and Sewer Service upon the
occasion of its designation as recipient of the 2014 Business of the
Year Award by the Herkimer County Chamber of Commerce

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that the
quality and character of life in the communities across New York State
are reflective of the concerned and dedicated efforts of those organiza-
tions and individuals that are devoted to the welfare of the community
and its citizenry; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Weber Septic and Sewer Service upon the occasion of its designation as
recipient of the 2014 Business of the Year Award by the Herkimer County
Chamber of Commerce, to be celebrated on Thursday, April 24, 2014, at
Francesca's in Ilion, New York; and
WHEREAS, Weber Septic and Sewer Service was founded by Jon Weber in
1985; starting with only one septic truck, they have expanded into
numerous services including excavating, and septic and water line main-
tenance and installation; over the years they have also branched out
into main line municipal and industrial maintenance, sanitation
services, and portable fencing; and
WHEREAS, Weber Septic and Sewer Service currently has five full time
employees, including Jon Weber's son, Jon Jr. and daughter, Alexandria,
as well as three part-time summer employees; the company continues to
expand its extensive inventory and state-of-the-art equipment; and
WHEREAS, In response to the disastrous flooding in Herkimer County in
2013, Weber Septic and Sewer Service provided much needed assistance to
the community, despite the severe damages they had suffered themselves;
and
WHEREAS, Throughout the summer, Jon Weber dedicated his company's
efforts to helping his neighbors by pumping water from their homes and
providing much needed aid to disaster survivors, while also rebuilding
his own business; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals and organizations of such noble aims and accomplishments are
brought to our attention, they should be recognized and applauded by all
the citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Weber Septic and Sewer Service upon the occasion of its desig-
nation as recipient of the 2014 Business of the Year Award by the
Herkimer County Chamber of Commerce; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Jon Weber, president, Weber Septic and Sewer Service.
