LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Video Entertainment Plus upon the occa-
sion of its designation as recipient of the 2014 Business of the Years
Award by the Sidney Chamber of Commerce

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
commend the leaders of commerce and industry whose accomplishments
contribute to the economic health and prosperity of the communities of
the State of New York and individuals whose purposeful endeavors, as
involved members of the community, enhance the quality of life therein;
and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
Video Entertainment Plus upon the occasion of its designation as recipi-
ent of the 2014 Business of the Years Award by the Sidney Chamber of
Commerce, to be celebrated at its Annual Dinner on Friday, June 6, 2014,
at the Sacred Heart Banquet Hall in Sidney, New York; and
WHEREAS, Video Entertainment Plus is owned by Andy Maviak and his son
Jeremy; for over 30 years, the store has held a prominent place on the
Main Street of Sidney, New York; and
WHEREAS, A dependable business that offers outstanding customer
service, Video Entertainment Plus and its owners have displayed a strong
commitment to helping their community throughout the past three decades;
and
WHEREAS, This esteemed company has contributed to countless civic and
charitable endeavors; its owners are known for the countless times in
which they have helped those who could not afford to help themselves;
and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when businesses
such as Video Entertainment Plus are brought to our attention it is
appropriate to publicly proclaim and commend them for the edification
and emulation of others; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Video Entertainment Plus upon the occasion of its designation as
recipient of the 2014 Business of the Years Award by the Sidney Chamber
of Commerce; and be it further
RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Andy and Jeremy Maviak, Video Entertainment Plus.
