LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Camden Central School District Super-
intendent Dr. Jeffrey K. Bryant upon the occasion of his retirement
after many distinguished years as an educator

WHEREAS, New York State's commitment to education is unparalleled; its
history and stature are secured by the superlative caliber of its educa-
tional professionals and the students they inspire; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to acknowledge the
significant milestones in the distinguished careers of those outstanding
educational leaders, whose dedication and achievements have been instru-
mental in developing character and academic excellence in the young
people of New York State; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Camden Central School District Superintendent Dr. Jeffrey K. Bryant upon
the occasion of his retirement after many distinguished years as an
educator; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Jeffrey K. Bryant, of North Bay, began his illustrious
career in education at the Otto Shortell Middle School in Oneida as a
health teacher; he will officially retire from the esteemed position of
Superintendent on June 30, 2014, the last day of the 2013-14 academic
school year; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Jeffrey K. Bryant had served as Principal of Camden High
School before becoming Superintendent; he has been employed by the
Camden Central School District since 1990, previously serving as the
middle school's Assistant Principal; and
WHEREAS, A 1976 graduate of Mohawk Valley Community College, Dr.
Jeffrey K. Bryant earned both his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in
Health Education, from SUNY Brockport and SUNY Cortland respectively; he
earned his certificate of advanced study from SUNY Cortland in 1990; and
WHEREAS, Furthermore, Dr. Jeffrey K. Bryant achieved his Doctorate in
Educational Leadership through NOVA Southeastern University in 2001; he
also completed the Superintendent Development Program through SUNY Oswe-
go in 2004; and
WHEREAS, Actively involved in the community, Dr. Jeffrey K. Bryant has
been an honorary firefighter and advanced emergency medical technician
with Camden Fire Department; and
WHEREAS, With him throughout have been his wife, Susan, two daughters,
Tara and Danica, as well as a granddaughter, all of whom feel privileged
to be a part of his life and rejoice in his achievements; and
WHEREAS, Educators like Dr. Jeffrey K. Bryant provide a tremendous
service to the future of our State and Nation, inspiring generations of
young people in their educational journeys and ensuring their success in
their future years; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Jeffrey K. Bryant has clearly had an enduring impact on
the youth of the Camden Central School District, as well as on the
community-at-large, and accordingly merits recognition and applause for
his impressive dedication to others; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to commend the
efforts of those individuals who work to support our proud tradition of
public education by providing their skills and talents to our schools;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Camden Central School District Superintendent Dr. Jeffrey K.
Bryant upon the occasion of his retirement after many distinguished
years as an educator; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Dr. Jeffrey K. Bryant.
