LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Brooks' Bottling Company upon the
occasion of receiving the Otsego County Chamber of Commerce 2013 Break-
through Award

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize the
achievements of those individuals and businesses that contribute
substantially to the economic vitality of their communities, thereby
enhancing the economic well-being of the entire Empire State; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
Brooks' Bottling Company upon the occasion of receiving the Otsego Coun-
ty Chamber of Commerce 2013 Breakthrough Award on Thursday, October 17,
2013, at the Otesaga Resort Hotel in Cooperstown, New York; and
WHEREAS, The Otsego County Chamber of Commerce annually presents its
Breakthrough Award to a business in Otsego County that demonstrates
innovation and growth; and
WHEREAS, Brooks' Bottling Company, a sister company of Brooks' House
of Bar-B-Q, has earned this distinguished honor in recognition of the
successful expansion of its sauce bottling business; and
WHEREAS, Brooks' Bottling Company was created in early 2013; Brooks'
House of Bar-B-Q has been bottling its sauces since 1988, and the
increased demand of that thriving enterprise required a new facility;
and
WHEREAS, Brooks' Bottling Company bottles ten of its own products, and
currently produces 150 labels for clients; it bottles for customers from
as far away as Vermont and Ohio, as well as throughout New York State,
producing 1,400-1,600 bottles per hour; and
WHEREAS, The future is brimming with potential for Brooks' Bottling
Company; an expansion of the bottling facility is set to break ground in
the near future and the company will eventually employ approximately 20
workers; and
WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that this Legislative Body acknowl-
edges this exceptional business, its contributions to the local and
state economies, and its vibrant role in improving the quality of life
in its community, fully confident that it will continue to enjoy the
sparkling successes it has experienced thus far; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Brooks' Bottling Company upon the occasion of receiving the
Otsego County Chamber of Commerce 2013 Breakthrough Award; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Brooks' Bottling Company.
