LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Frank Clark, Sr. upon the occasion of
his designation as recipient of the Meritorious Service Award by the
Wayne County Volunteer Firemen's Association
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who give
outstanding service to the people of the Empire State and whose extraor-
dinary achievements save the lives of their fellow citizens should be
recognized because their efforts so profoundly strengthen our shared
commitment to family and community life; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Frank Clark,
Sr. upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of the Meritorious
Service Award by the Wayne County Volunteer Firemen's Association; and
WHEREAS, Earning a Bachelor of Science degree from the Rochester
Institute of Technology in 1978, Frank Clark, Sr. has been an active
member of the Williamson Fire Company No. 1 for 46 years; he has served
the department as commissioner, secretary, treasurer, trustee, and was
president for two terms; and
WHEREAS, Frank Clark, Sr. has been on the Fund Raising Committee,
Truck Committee and Budget Committee; he is a past president of the
Northern Central New York Volunteer Firemen's Association, the Wayne
County Volunteer Firemen's Association and the Wayne County Volunteer
Fire Police Association; and
WHEREAS, In addition, Frank Clark, Sr. has served on the Fire
Prevention, Budget, Legislative, Auditing, By-Laws, Convention and Fund
Raiser committees for all three associations; he is currently an Area 4
director and sergeant of arms for the Wayne County Volunteer Fire Police
Association; and
WHEREAS, A true asset to society, Frank Clark, Sr. has served his
community by coaching softball, baseball and basketball; he also has
organized various activities for golf and softball tournaments; and
WHEREAS, With him throughout have been his wife, Linda, their chil-
dren, Yvonne and Michael, their grandchildren, Amanda, Kelsey, Frank
Jr., and Chris, as well as their great-grandchildren, Lindsay, Lacay and
Cameron, all of whom feel privileged to be a part of his life and
rejoice in his achievements; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
the great State of New York; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Frank Clark, Sr. upon the occasion of his designation as recipient
of the Meritorious Service Award by the Wayne County Volunteer Firemen's
Association; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Frank Clark, Sr.
