LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Robert Schultz upon the occasion of
his designation for special recognition by the 2013 SULLIVAN COUNTY
DEMOCRAT Men at Work Edition

WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve the
best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration and
cannot be sufficiently extolled; and
WHEREAS, Robert Schultz has given not only of his time and energies
but also of his competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently
has been designated for special honor; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to commend Robert
Schultz upon the occasion of his designation for special recognition by
the 2013 SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT Men at Work Edition; and
WHEREAS, Vice President for Academic & Student Affairs at SUNY Sulli-
van, Robert Schultz manages the daily operations of the college, includ-
ing direction of the administration of college instruction, instruc-
tion-related service programs and student services; he particularly
focuses on assessment, curriculum planning and faculty/staff profes-
sional development; and
WHEREAS, Prior to holding his current position at SUNY Sullivan,
Robert Schultz served as Assistant to the Vice President for Evening and
Weekend College and Assistant Vice President for Academic & Student
Affairs; and
WHEREAS, Robert Schultz has 14 years experience in higher education;
since 2010, he has worked closely with his colleagues at SUNY Orange,
Rockland and Ulster on the executive committee of the Hudson Valley
Educational Consortium; and
WHEREAS, Robert Schultz received his Ph.D. degree from Columbia
University; his M.S. Ed. Degree from Baruch College-CUNY; and his M.A.
and B.A. degrees from Rutgers University; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of his professional and communi-
ty service, a period of constructive involvement, Robert Schultz has
stood constant in dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the quality of life in their community and have shown a long and
sustained commitment to the maintenance of high standards in their
profession, certainly have earned the recognition and applause of all
the citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Robert Schultz upon the occasion of his designation for special
recognition by the 2013 SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT Men at Work Edition;
and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Robert Schultz.
