LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending William Stockdale Sr. upon the occa-
sion of his designation as EMS of the Year by the Roosevelt Fire Depart-
ment of Roosevelt, New York, on April 20, 2013

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
commend the concerned and caring work of citizens who voluntarily assist
in safeguarding the safety and welfare of their neighbors and community;
and
WHEREAS, Volunteer ambulance corps members are an important part of
the safety net of America's healthcare system; they provide lifesaving
care to those in need, 24 hours a day, seven days a week; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concerns, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is proud to commend William
Stockdale Sr. upon the occasion of his designation as EMS of the Year by
the Roosevelt Fire Department of Roosevelt, New York, which was cele-
brated at its Annual Installation Dinner on April 20, 2013, at the Coral
House, Baldwin, New York; and
WHEREAS, On many occasions, William Stockdale Sr. has acted with brav-
ery and steady precision in dealing with the risk and drama of emergency
situations; and
WHEREAS, In the performance of his duties, William Stockdale Sr. has
demonstrated his character and his compassion for the welfare of others;
he is a tremendous asset to his EMS Unit, the Roosevelt Fire Department
and a distinguished citizen of the State and Nation; now, therefore, be
it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend William Stockdale Sr. upon the occasion of his designation as
EMS of the Year by the Roosevelt Fire Department of Roosevelt, New York;
and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to William Stockdale Sr.
