LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring the Jordan-Elbridge Marching Band upon
the occasion of capturing the 2012 New York State Field Band Champion-
ship

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to commend those
organizations of distinguished purpose that have been committed to the
pursuit of excellence and that bring great pride to the citizens of New
York State; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to hereby
honor and recognize the Jordan-Elbridge Marching Band upon the occasion
of winning the 2012 New York State Field Band Competition Championship;
and
WHEREAS, The Jordan-Elbridge Marching Band took first place for the
first time in 14 years at the 2012 New York State Field Band Conference
Competition, earning a score of 83.35 for its performance of "David and
Goliath" in the Small School 2 Class; and
WHEREAS, Since the Jordan-Elbridge Marching Band won first place in
the Small School 2 Class division, the band received the Governor's Cup;
and
WHEREAS, No marching band can succeed without outstanding talent
throughout its entire roster; such was the case for the Jordan-Elbridge
Marching Band whose members include: Erik Bondgren, Max Bondgren, Ellen
Bryant, Anthony Callipari, Kayla Chiaramonte, Ryan Chiaramonte, Austin
Clifford, Evan Coon, Emelia Crowley, Torri Daniels, Hannah Dahlin, Adri-
ana DeVaul, Emily Drake, Alex Everett, Jake Everett, Elizabeth Fantasia,
Tessa Fellows, Sean Ferguson, Jessica Field, David Fixler, Josh Gallaro,
Nick Gallaro, Lexie Infantino, Ashley Kerrick, Kali Kimak, Noelle Lang-
don, Abigail McGinn, Natalie McMahon, Morgan Melchior, Erika Mills,
Morgan Muters, Dominic Nicoletta, LIndsay Patterson, Jennifer Plucinik,
Mitch Pollock, Eian Prinsen, Annalea O'Brien, Esther Richardson, Mikayla
Rink, Zach Rink, Cordell Rogers, Haley Schultz, Abigail Shafer, Cheyenne
Shephard, Emily Spicer, Anthony Trinh, McKayla Weaver, Gabrielle West,
Marissa Wick, and Amelia Younis; and
WHEREAS, The success of the Jordan-Elbridge Marching Band is due in
great part to the dedicated efforts of Band Director Katie Daniels, and
her outstanding staff, as well as the constant encouragement and support
of family and community members; and
WHEREAS, The Jordan-Elbridge Marching Band shared noteworthy attri-
butes on and off the field, as well as in competition; individually and
collectively, band members exhibited discipline, hard work and good
sportsmanship, while demonstrating to themselves and to others that they
have an enviable combination of talent and character, which have favora-
bly reflected upon their school and on their community; now, therefore,
be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate the Jordan-Elbridge Marching Band upon the occasion of
capturing the 2012 New York State Field Band Competition Championship;
and be it further
RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to members of the Jordan-Elbridge Marching Band, and Band Direc-
tor Katie Daniels.
