LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Genesee Valley Educational Partnership
Superintendent Michael Glover upon the occasion of his retirement after
many distinguished years as an educator

WHEREAS, It is the practice of this Legislative Body to take note of and
publicly acknowledge individuals of remarkable integrity and character
whose endeavors have enhanced the quality of education in this great
State; and
WHEREAS, The result of many individuals efforts, the excellence and
the success of the Genesee Valley Educational Partnership is due in
large part to the efforts of its retiring Superintendent, Michael
Glover; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Genesee Valley Educational Partnership Superintendent Michael Glover
upon the occasion of his retirement after many distinguished years as an
educator; and
WHEREAS, Michael Glover is retiring as Genesee Valley Educational
Partnership Superintendent at the end of June 2013; and
WHEREAS, In the New York State educational field for 33 years, Michael
Glover has served as Superintendent at Waterville Central School,
Assistant Superintendent for Instruction at Albion Central School and
Superintendent at Iroquois Central School prior to his tenure at the
Genesee Valley Educational Partnership for the past decade; and
WHEREAS, With him throughout has been his wife, Nancy, and daughter,
Alexandra, who feel privileged to be part of his life and rejoice in his
notable achievements; and
WHEREAS, Michael Glover has continually demonstrated an impressive
dedication, an unparalleled devotion and an unremitting enthusiasm for
the quality of the educational programs and opportunities offered in the
Genesee Valley Educational Partnership for the benefit of its faculty
and students, as well as for the entire community; and
WHEREAS, In completing 33 years of service as an educator, Michael
Glover leaves behind more than mere bricks and mortar; he leaves behind
a legacy to the residents of the communities in which he served and to
future generations of its students; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Genesee Valley Educational Partnership Superintendent Michael
Glover upon the occasion of his retirement after many distinguished
years as an educator, and for his significant contributions to education
in New York State; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Michael Glover.
