LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Ray Seefeld upon the occasion of his
designation as recipient of the President's Award by the Capital
District YMCA

WHEREAS, The State of New York takes great pride in recognizing the
outstanding achievements of its esteemed residents; and
WHEREAS, Ray Seefeld will be honored by the Capital District YMCA with
its prestigious President's Award during a dinner to be held at the
Albany Marriott on April 23, 2013; and
WHEREAS, Ray was selected for this honor by the Glenville YMCA; and
WHEREAS, He studied Marketing Management from the State University of
New York at Brockport and continued his education through the National
Office Product Association and the Business Products Industry Associ-
ation Educational Institution; and
WHEREAS, Ray serves as President of Superior Business Products, Inc.,
the largest locally owned office products company in the Capital
District; and
WHEREAS, Under his expert leadership, Superior Business Products
increased from $1 million to almost $6 million in sales; and
WHEREAS, Ray has served on several industry-related committees,
including National Accounts, Printed Marketing, Electronic Commerce, and
the Market Development Advisory Council; and
WHEREAS, He has contributed his time to New York Special Olympics, The
Center for Disability Services, Capital District YMCA, the United Way,
Northeast Parent & Child Society, the National Multiple Sclerosis Socie-
ty, Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Baseball Commission, the Albany-Colonie
Regional Chamber of Commerce, Siena College, the Good Shepherd Lutheran
Church, Capital District Business Leaders, Community Living and Advocacy
Supports, Albany Executives Association, and EO-Albany; and
WHEREAS, Ray has been honored with the Executive of the Year award
from the Albany Executives Association, the 40 Under 40 Business Award
and the Multiple Sclerosis class of 2000 Leadership Award; and
WHEREAS, He is the loving husband of Shirley Seefeld, and the proud
father of two sons; and
WHEREAS, Ray has exhibited the true spirit of this prestigious award
through his tireless commitment to the community; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Ray Seefeld upon the occasion of his designation as recipi-
ent of the President's Award by the Capital District YMCA; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Ray Seefeld.
