LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION congratulating Vanacore, DeBenedictus, DiGovanni
& Weddell, LLP upon the occasion of receiving the 2013 Distinguished
Citizen Award from the Hudson Valley Council of the Boy Scouts of Ameri-
ca

WHEREAS, It is incumbent upon the people of the State of New York to
recognize and acknowledge those within our midst who have made signif-
icant contributions to the quality of life therein; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to congratulate Vana-
core, DeBenedictus, DiGovanni & Weddell, LLP upon the occasion of
receiving the 2013 Distinguished Citizen Award from the Hudson Valley
Council of the Boy Scouts of America on Wednesday, March 6, 2013, in New
Windsor, New York; and
WHEREAS, This prestigious award is presented to individuals and organ-
izations who exemplify in their daily lives, the ideals found within the
Boy Scout Oath and Law; and
WHEREAS, Vanacore, DeBenedictus, DiGovanni & Weddell has been provid-
ing audit, tax, accounting, and business development consulting services
to business owners in the Hudson Valley and New York Metropolitan area
for over 40 years; it is one of the largest public accounting firms in
the Hudson Valley with offices in Newburgh, Wappingers Falls, Middletown
and Tarrytown, New York; and
WHEREAS, In order to provide clients with the highest-quality profes-
sional services, the firm is organized into five principal divisions:
accounting and auditing, tax services, consulting and special projects
services, accounting support services, and computer consulting; the firm
provides year-round service in a business advisory role to fulfill pres-
ent and emerging needs of clients; and
WHEREAS, Being able to give back to the community is important to
Vanacore, DeBenedictus, DiGovanni & Weddell, LLP because it is the key
ingredient to an empowered community and critical to its overall
success; the local community supports the local businesses, in turn, the
local businesses need to support the local community for a community to
be wholesome and healthy; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when organiza-
tions of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Vanacore, DeBenedictus, DiGovanni & Weddell, LLP upon the
occasion of receiving the 2013 Distinguished Citizen Award from the
Hudson Valley Council of the Boy Scouts of America; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Vanacore, DeBenedictus, DiGovanni & Weddell, LLP.
