LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Angralon Denise Dixon upon the occasion
of her designation as recipient of the 2013 Service Excellence Award by
the Duncan Tree Foundation

WHEREAS, It is incumbent upon the people of the State of New York to
recognize and acknowledge those within our midst who have made signif-
icant contributions to the quality of life therein; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Angralon Denise Dixon upon the occasion of her designation as recipient
of the 2013 Service Excellence Award by the Duncan Tree Foundation, to
be celebrated on Friday, March 8, 2013, in New York City; and
WHEREAS, Delivering the keynote address during this event will be Dr.
Oheneba Boachie-Adjei; and
WHEREAS, Angralon Dixon is a New York native with a passion for teach-
ing non-profit organizations and civic minded individuals techniques to
execute ideas in order to strengthen programming for increased support
and fundability; and
WHEREAS, Through learning the needs of the community and pairing
resources and relationships, successful partnerships and missions have
been created; Angralon Dixon is a graduate of The State University of
New York College at Old Westbury possessing a Bachelor of Arts degree in
Media and Communication; and
WHEREAS, Angralon Dixon has obtained a certificate in grant writing
from CUNY York College, as well as a certificate in grant making and
philanthropy from the NYU School of Continuing and Professional Studies;
and
WHEREAS, A proud member and supporter of The Duncan Tree Foundation,
Angralon Dixon's distinguished record merits the recognition and
respectful tribute of this Legislative Body; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Angralon Denise Dixon upon the occasion of her designation as
recipient of the 2013 Service Excellence Award by the Duncan Tree Foun-
dation; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Angralon Denise Dixon.
