LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Bob McLennan upon the occasion of his
retirement from the National Association of Letter Carriers

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and honor
those distinguished citizens of this great Empire State who have devoted
themselves to faithfully serving the best interests of their community
and the needs of its residents; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Bob
McLennan upon the occasion of his retirement from the National Associ-
ation of Letter Carriers, to be celebrated on January 26, 2013, at the
Knights of Columbus in Cheektowaga, New York; and
WHEREAS, Throughout his career, Bob McLennan served with intelligence
and caring dedication, continuously striving to effectively fulfill the
duties of his position as Branch 3's longest-serving president; and
WHEREAS, Bob McLennan began his career in 1980 as a United States
Postal Service letter carrier with the National Association of Letter
Carriers Union in Depew, New York; and
WHEREAS, Throughout his career with the National Association of Letter
Carriers, Bob McLennan has worked tirelessly to represent the members of
the National Association of Letter Carriers in Western New York; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
the great State of New York; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Bob McLennan upon the occasion of his retirement from the National
Association of Letter Carriers, and wish him continued success in all of
his future endeavors; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Bob McLennan.
