ASSEMBLY RESOLUTION in relation to the election and seating of Jaime R.
Williams as a Member of Assembly from the 59th Assembly District

WHEREAS, There is a vacancy existing in the membership of this House,
which was filled at the election held on April 19, 2016; and
WHEREAS, The final official canvass of the votes cast at said election
and certification thereof of the person elected thereat, cannot be made
at this time; and
WHEREAS, The Board of Elections of the City of New York has advised
that the votes cast for the Office of Member of Assembly in the 59th
Assembly District in the County of Kings shown by its canvass were
respectively as follows: Jaime R. Williams, Democrat, Independence and
Women's Equality, fourteen thousand five hundred twenty-two; and Jeffrey
J. Ferretti, Republican, Conservative and Reform, three thousand eight-
y-six; and
WHEREAS, It appears that the results of the votes cast in said Assem-
bly District cannot be affected by the final official canvass of such
voters; and
WHEREAS, Jaime R. Williams has duly taken an oath of office as a
Member of Assembly; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That Jaime R. Williams, Democrat, Independence and Women's
Equality, is duly elected and qualified as a Member of Assembly for her
respective district and that she be seated in this House as such Member.
