LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Krissy Smith upon the occasion of her
designation for special recognition by the 2014 SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT
honoring Professional Women and Women in Business

WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve the
best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration and
cannot be sufficiently extolled; and
WHEREAS, Krissy Smith has given not only of her time and energies but
also of her competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently has
been designated for special honor; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to commend Krissy Smith
upon the occasion of her designation for special recognition by the 2014
SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT honoring Professional Women and Women in Busi-
ness; and
WHEREAS, A graduate of Livingston Manor High School, 27-year-old Kris-
sy Smith learned cosmetology at Sullivan County BOCES; and
WHEREAS, For the past four years, Krissy Smith has been the
Owner/Operator of Krissy's Hair Salon; and
WHEREAS, Inspired by her favorite quote "Live Day by Day," this estab-
lished woman's favorite part of being a stylist is being able to trans-
form her clients' hair to their ideal fantasy; and
WHEREAS, With her throughout have been her parents, Debbie and William
Wells; one sister, Nicole; and children, Analeah and Jordan, all of whom
feel privileged to be a part of her life and rejoice in her achieve-
ments; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which Krissy Smith has displayed through-
out her life; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the quality of life in their community and have shown a long and
sustained commitment to the maintenance of high standards in their
profession, certainly have earned the recognition and applause of all
the citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Krissy Smith upon the occasion of her designation for special
recognition by the 2014 SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT honoring Professional
Women and Women in Business; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Krissy Smith.
