LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Chuck Parker upon the occasion of his
induction into the New York State Outdoorsmen Hall of Fame

WHEREAS, It is incumbent upon the people of the State of New York to
recognize and acknowledge those within our midst who have made signif-
icant contributions to the quality of life therein; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Chuck Parker
upon the occasion of his being inducted into the New York State Outd-
oorsmen Hall of Fame; and
WHEREAS, Individuals are inducted into the New York State Outdoorsmen
Hall of Fame when they work consistently to make significant contrib-
utions to conservation or preserving the heritage of outdoor sports; and
WHEREAS, With decades of dedication to outdoor recreation, Chuck Park-
er is undoubtedly deserving of this honor as he has devoted hundred of
hours to various volunteer efforts and organizations aimed at improving
outdoor sports, increasing safety and protecting the environment; and
WHEREAS, In past years, Chuck Parker has served as a hunter safety
instructor, eventually rising to the level of master instructor and has
been actively involved in a number of clubs, in many of which he has
held leadership positions, including the Mad River Club, the Oswego
County Federation of Sportsmen's Clubs, the Oswego County Sportsmen's
Foundation, the Ann Jardin 2016 Olympic Dream Team Committee and more;
and
WHEREAS, Chuck Parker has also been a tireless advocate for sportsmen,
serving on the Region 7 DEC Fish and Wildlife Management Board, and
holding a number of positions on the New York State Conservation Coun-
cil, including serving in the role of President of the Council; and
WHEREAS, In recognition for his efforts to improve outdoor recreation,
Chuck Parker has received numerous other accolades including being named
a Hero of Conservation by the POST-STANDARD newspaper, a NYSCC Outstand-
ing Member, the Oswego County Federation of Sportsmen's Clubs Sportsman
of the Year, and the Mad River Club Sportsman of the Year; and
WHEREAS, With a passion for the outdoors, Chuck Parker has used his
leadership qualities and willingness to volunteer to make a difference
in the sportsmen community and the Central New York community as a
whole; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Chuck Parker upon the occasion of his induction into the New York
State Outdoorsmen Hall of Fame; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Chuck Parker.
