LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Wendy E. Brown upon the occasion of
her designation for special recognition by the 2014 SULLIVAN COUNTY
DEMOCRAT honoring Professional Women and Women in Business
WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve the
best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration and
cannot be sufficiently extolled; and
WHEREAS, Wendy E. Brown has given not only of her time and energies
but also of her competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently
has been designated for special honor; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to commend Wendy E.
Brown upon the occasion of her designation for special recognition by
the 2014 SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT honoring Professional Women and Women
in Business; and
WHEREAS, Wendy E. Brown's outstanding education includes: Police
Science at SUNY Farmingdale; Registered Professional Nurse, Beth Israel,
New York City; bachelor's degree in Health Care Administration, Windham,
Maine; and master's degree in Health Services Administration, Central
Michigan University, Fort Hamilton, Brooklyn, New York; and
WHEREAS, This exceptional woman is a Certified Assisted Living Admin-
istrator in the State of New Jersey; and
WHEREAS, For two years, Wendy E. Brown has been an employee of Cats-
kill Regional Medical Center and currently serves as Administrator for
Emergency, Critical Care, and Support Services; and
WHEREAS, Prior to her current position, Wendy E. Brown has served the
Center as Clinical Director in the Emergency Department; and
WHEREAS, The most rewarding aspect of Wendy E. Brown's job is being
able to make a difference in the lives of her patients and working with
a wonderful staff who are committed to improving the health of the
Sullivan County community; and
WHEREAS, Wendy E. Brown's favorite on-the-job moment was seeing a
little boy who was in critical condition just months earlier, walk back
through the doors of the Emergency Department due to the heroic effort
of bystanders, law enforcement, paramedics, nurses, and support staff;
and
WHEREAS, Active in her community, Wendy E. Brown is affiliated with
the National Audubon Society, Horseshoe Lake Preservation Association,
Basha Kill Area Association, and the Sullivan County Rural Health
Network/Drug Task Force; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of her community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Wendy E. Brown has stood constant in
dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, With her throughout has been her wonderful husband, who feels
privileged to be a part of her life and rejoices in her achievements;
and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which Wendy E. Brown has displayed
throughout her life; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the quality of life in their community and have shown a long and
sustained commitment to the maintenance of high standards in their
profession, certainly have earned the recognition and applause of all
the citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Wendy E. Brown upon the occasion of her designation for special
recognition by the 2014 SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT honoring Professional
Women and Women in Business; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Wendy E. Brown.
