LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Vincent Lepera, AIA of architecture+
upon the occasion of his designation for special recognition by the Troy
Savings Bank Music Hall on April 16, 2015

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to honor and pay
tribute to individuals whose commitment and creative talents contribute
to the cultural enrichment, education and entertainment of their commu-
nity and the State of New York; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
Vincent Lepera, AIA of architecture+ upon the occasion of his desig-
nation for special recognition by the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall to be
celebrated at its 35th Birthday Gala on Thursday, April 16, 2015, at the
Franklin Plaza in Troy, New York; and
WHEREAS, Vincent Lepera is being recognized for his devotion to his
profession and sincere dedication and substantial role as a community
leader; he has continuously cast a positive impact on his community and
displayed an unbridled enthusiasm in all his professional and civic
endeavors; and
WHEREAS, Vincent Lepera has devoted a lifetime commitment to the pres-
ervation of historic buildings and ecologically sensitive architecture;
and
WHEREAS, This remarkable man has been involved in numerous notable
projects including the Rice Building, and the Troy Savings Bank Music
Hall, as well as many other revitalization efforts in the City of Troy;
and
WHEREAS, In addition, Vincent Lepera is a founding member of TAP, one
of America's oldest urban architectural advocacy and planning organiza-
tions; and
WHEREAS, The arts are the building blocks of civilization, and are
central to human expression; they enlighten us and inspire the imagina-
tion; individuals which further such worthy purposes richly merit the
recognition and appreciation of this Legislative Body and the people of
the Capital Region and the State of New York; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Vincent Lepera, AIA of architecture+ upon the occasion of his
designation for special recognition by the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall
on April 16, 2015; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Vincent Lepera.
