LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Adam W. Silverman upon the occasion of
his designation as recipient of the Stanley A. Rosen Memorial Award by
The Legal Project
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that the
quality and character of life in the communities across New York State
are reflective of the concerned and dedicated efforts of those organiza-
tions and individuals who would devote themselves to the welfare of the
community and its citizenry; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Adam
W. Silverman upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of the
Stanley A. Rosen Memorial Award by The Legal Project which was cele-
brated at The Legal Project's Pro Bono Awards Luncheon on Wednesday,
October 15, 2014, at the Century House in Latham, New York; and
WHEREAS, The Stanley A. Rosen Memorial Award is given to an attorney
who has demonstrated an ability to litigate a matter on behalf of a
victim of domestic violence and who has shown the utmost professionalism
and integrity in their dealings with the court, litigants and attorneys;
these qualities were exemplified by Stanley Rosen during his lifetime;
and
WHEREAS, Adam W. Silverman graduated from George Washington University
in 2005, and received his law degree from Albany Law School in 2008;
after graduating law school, he was appointed an Assistant Attorney
General in the Litigation Bureau of the New York State Attorney Gener-
al's Office; and
WHEREAS, Today, this esteemed man is an associate at Greenburg Trau-
rig, LLP where his practice is focused on complex commercial litigation
disputes; and
WHEREAS, Committed to giving back to his community, Adam W. Silverman
has generously volunteered his time to provide pro bono representation
to The Legal Project's clients; and
WHEREAS, Throughout his pro bono service, Adam W. Silverman has helped
to fill the gap of unmet legal needs in New York; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Adam W. Silverman upon the occasion of his designation as recipi-
ent of the Stanley A. Rosen Memorial Award by The Legal Project; and be
it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Adam W. Silverman.
