LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Lisa Sicurelli upon the occasion of her
designation as a 2015 Long Island Center for Business and Professional
Women Achiever
WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve the
best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration and
cannot be sufficiently extolled; and
WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to pay tribute to
outstanding individuals who distinguish themselves through their excep-
tional performance, attaining unprecedented success and the highest
level of personal achievement; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Lisa
Sicurelli upon the occasion of her designation as a 2015 Long Island
Center for Business and Professional Women Achiever; this auspicious
occasion will be celebrated at the Center's 36th Annual Achiever's
Awards Gala to be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2015; and
WHEREAS, For more than 35 years, the Long Island Center for Business
and Professional Women has been dedicated to advancing women in busi-
ness, industry and the professions; and
WHEREAS, The Long Island Center for Business and Professional Women
celebrate and honor women who are leaders, mentors and who have opened
doors for other women to help foster their rise in business, the
professions and in their community; Lisa Sicurelli is one such individ-
ual; and
WHEREAS, Lisa Sicurelli is the managing partner at Ambassador Abstract
LLC, a full service title company in Huntington, New York, which she
co-founded in 2005; she started this worthy business with more than 10
years of experience in the residential real estate and title industries;
and
WHEREAS, Under Lisa Sicurelli's luminous direction, Ambassador
Abstract LLC has flourished during one of the industry's more challeng-
ing periods, and has been recognized among the Best of Long Island by
the LONG ISLAND PRESS in both 2013 and 2014; in addition, the company
received the prestigious Finest Agent Award by Underwriter, Fidelity
National Title Group; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the year, Lisa Sicurelli coordinates events and
seminars educating consumers and realtors on the importance of title
insurance; she is admired by many for her strong work ethic and network-
ing skills, as well as her willingness to help others; and
WHEREAS, A licensed salesperson with Daniel Gale Sotheby's Interna-
tional Realty since 1994, Lisa Sicurelli has been a top producer, earn-
ing Rookie of the Year recognition in her first year, and going on to
achieve the status of the company's prestigious membership into its Gold
Circle of Excellence; and
WHEREAS, In 2011, Lisa Sicurelli was the recipient of an award for
having had the highest residential sale in Suffolk County, selling a
waterfront property for $12.3 million; and
WHEREAS, In addition to her listing and selling properties along the
north shore of Long Island, Lisa Sicurelli provides ongoing training and
mentoring to new agents joining Daniel Gale Sotheby's International
Realty regarding title insurance; and
WHEREAS, A graduate of Marymount Manhattan College, Lisa Sicurelli was
born and raised in Brooklyn, New York; a Psychology major, she conducted
and successfully published a study in the AMERICAN JOURNAL OF
PSYCHOLOGY; and
WHEREAS, After college, Lisa Sicurelli worked in New York City for
Manpower Temporary Services; demonstrating her leadership abilities
during her first year of employment with the firm, she was quickly
promoted to office manager, responsible for opening, staffing and manag-
ing a new branch office for the company on Manhattan's Upper West Side;
and
WHEREAS, Active in her community as well as her profession, Lisa Sicu-
relli is a member of Long Island Board of Realtors, and is an avid
supporter of the National New York Kidney Foundation, American Heart
Association, and the North Shore Animal League; she recently partic-
ipated in a coat drive that provided over 3000 coats to those in need;
and
WHEREAS, Today, Lisa Sicurelli is the loving mother of two children,
Robert-James, and Stefanie, both of whom feel privileged to be a part of
her life and rejoice in her achievements; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their profession and community,
and have shown a long and sustained commitment to excellence, certainly
have earned the recognition and applause of all citizens of this great
Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Lisa Sicurelli upon the occasion of her designation as a 2015 Long
Island Center for Business and Professional Women Achiever; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Lisa Sicurelli.
