LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commemorating the 60th Anniversary of Smith
Plumbing, Heating, Kitchen and Bath, of Port Jervis, New York

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize the
achievements of those individuals and businesses which contribute to the
economic vitality of their communities and the entire Empire State; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commem-
orate the 60th Anniversary of Smith Plumbing, Heating, Kitchen and Bath,
of Port Jervis, New York; and
WHEREAS, In 1955, co-owners, Tom Smith and Debbie Valentine took over
Smith Plumbing, Heating, Kitchen and Bath; for the past six decades they
have proudly served customers throughout the Tri-State area; and
WHEREAS, The second generation family-owned business offers services
and products in two divisions, plumbing and heating, and kitchens and
bath; and
WHEREAS, President of Smith Plumbing, Heating, Kitchen and Bath, Tom
Smith is a Master Plumber, licensed in New York, New Jersey, and Penn-
sylvania; he has over 30 years of expertise in plumbing, heating, and
air conditioning for both residential and commercial clients; and
WHEREAS, Debbie Valentine is an Architectural Designer for the Kitchen
and Bath Division, and has over 20 years of residential design and
project management experience; under her able leadership, the company
offers full service design and installation services for kitchen and
bath remodels; and
WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that this Legislative Body acknowl-
edges this exceptional business and its contributions to the local and
State economies, fully confident it will continue to enjoy the sparkling
successes it has experienced thus far; and
WHEREAS, Businesses such as Smith Plumbing, Heating, Kitchen and Bath
exert a strong, positive influence on the communities they serve and are
a crucial element in the economy of New York State; now, therefore, be
it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commemorate the 60th Anniversary of Smith Plumbing, Heating, Kitchen and
Bath, Port Jervis, New York; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Tom Smith and Debbie Valentine, co-owners, Smith Plumbing,
Heating, Kitchen and Bath.
