LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Miller Mechanical Services, Inc. upon
the occasion of its designation as recipient of the Ethics in Business
Award by the Adirondack Samaritan Counseling Center
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize those
businesses within the State of New York which contribute to the economic
health and vitality of the communities they serve; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Miller Mechanical Services, Inc. upon the occasion of its designation as
recipient of the Ethics in Business Award by the Adirondack Samaritan
Counseling Center, to be celebrated at its 4th Annual Awards Dinner on
Friday, May 1, 2015, at Hiland Park Country Club, Queensbury, New York;
and
WHEREAS, The Adirondack Samaritan Counseling Center, established in
1983, recognizes the connections of ethical behavior to the physical,
psychological and spiritual health of the community, as explored in the
story of the good Samaritan; the center affirms the influence of employ-
ment practices, business conduct and workplace conditions on mental
health; and
WHEREAS, In sponsoring the auspicious Ethics in Business Awards, the
Adirondack Samaritan Counseling Center is promoting ethical practices in
Warren, Washington, Essex and Saratoga counties, encouraging local busi-
nesses, agencies and individuals to aspire to be considered for the
awards; and
WHEREAS, Miller Mechanical Services, Inc. truly deserves this auspi-
cious award for their stellar moral judgment and responsibility to all
citizens of this great Empire State; and
WHEREAS, In 1988, Myles Miller founded Miller Mechanical Services,
Inc. (MMSI); in the beginning the business focused on performing shut-
down and general maintenance services at pulp and paper mills throughout
the United States; and
WHEREAS, Under Myles Miller's able direction, MMSI moved to the fore-
front of the industry; throughout the years, the company has evolved to
include metal fabrication facilities for the engineering and
construction of ASME code vessels and component parts used in the pulp
and paper industry; and
WHEREAS, After more than 20 years in business, MMSI offers over 55,000
square feet of building space to serve as fabrication, repair, storage
and administrative facilities and employs people of the very highest
professional caliber; and
WHEREAS, Today, under the luminous leadership of President Elizabeth
Miller, the talented and creative staff of Miller Mechanical Services,
Inc. continues to provide excellent service and create superior products
for its clients; and
WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that this Legislative Body acknowl-
edges Miller Mechanical Services, Inc.'s success, recognizes its
contributions to the local and State economies, and extends its highest
commendation to Miller Mechanical Services, Inc. and its employees,
fully confident that, in its future, it will enjoy the same success
which has so characterized its past; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Miller Mechanical Services, Inc. upon the occasion of its desig-
nation as recipient of the Ethics in Business Award by the Adirondack
Samaritan Counseling Center; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Elizabeth Miller, President, Miller Mechanical Services, Inc.
